at the end of a very long and hot (temps were over 100) day ... I indulged in staying at the Motel Safari for the night in Tucumcari, NM which began its days as "a rowdy railroad camp filled with saloons and outlaws" in 1901. :)

Notice the old fashioned styled radio next to the huge (king) bed ... what a difference from the night before *lol*
