Hello from Oklahoma!

The camp hosts gave me a tip about bypassing Tulsa today. According to them lots of the roads are being reconstructed and that there’s lots of “jigs’n’jogs” … Knowing I get lost on “jigs’n’jogs” I took them at their word and skipped Tulsa. I did make a number of stops, but have drastically reduced the number compared to the first few days I was on the road.

There are virtually no restaurants that are wired for the internet along route 66, so I had a bright idea and have stopped at a local library! Imagine that – A/C, the web, and plugs to charge up the computer and phone batteries. Gotta love it. Not to mention the chance to update my blog and see the comments you’all are leaving.

I’m finding the middle of the day to be the hottest for driving and so hope to find a library somewhere around 2ish tomorrow afternoon to hang out in for a couple of hours. Plus, double duty as I get the chance to read my articles.

I’ll be posting pictures of the camp I stayed at on the night of the 4th and 5th. Before and after shots. Except not right at the moment because I'm sooooooooooo enjoying the free a/c and internet in the library at Edmund, OK.

Right at the moment (6pm on the 6th) I’m about half-way through Oklahoma State. Route 66 in this state is a state highway, so I haven’t had any side-line adventures today at all (so far). Really, really well posted. Plus, I’m getting into the grove of this long distance driving thing.

Have you ever noticed that when someone begins a statement with “I’m not prejudiced or anything, but…” they generally are?
